National Apprenticeship Week 2026

During National Apprenticeship Week, KFM was proud to host our third annual celebratory event on Thursday 12 February, recognising the fantastic achievements of our apprentices across the organisation. 

We currently have 22 employees undertaking apprenticeships across a wide range of specialisms, including AI Data Specialist, Pharmacy Technician, Healthcare Science Team Leader, and Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner, alongside many other diverse programmes.  
 
The event was a wonderful opportunity to bring our apprentices together, celebrate their hard work and dedication, and recognise the commitment required to balance their roles alongside their studies. Apprenticeships play an important role within the workplace, providing valuable opportunities to gain recognised qualifications, and support long-term career growth, while helping KFM to build a skilled, knowledgeable, and future-ready workforce. 
 
Members of our Senior Leadership Team were also in attendance, sharing congratulatory messages and presenting certificates to our apprentices in recognition of their progress and achievements so far.  

Robin Marsden-Knight, Director of Business Services, said: “Our apprentice learning programmes across KFM bring real energy and fresh ideas to the organisation, and it’s been inspiring to see how much they contribute to our success every day with apprentices at all levels of the organisation bringing their learning straight back into the workplace. Having recently completed my own apprenticeship, I’ve seen first-hand the value these programmes bring, both professionally and personally. I’m incredibly proud of what our apprentices achieve and look forward to seeing our apprenticeship programme grow across KFM throughout the coming years."

The celebration also gave employees the opportunity to share their apprenticeship experiences, reflect on how their learning has supported their professional development, and inspire others who may be considering this pathway in the future. 
 
At KFM, apprenticeships are just one of the many ways we support learning and development. Through the KFM Academy, employees can access a wide range of opportunities including secondments, workplace shadowing, mentoring, in-house training, management development programmes, and structured career pathways designed to support progression and personal growth.
