KFM appoints Clara Purnell as Director of Procurement
April 2026 - KFM is pleased to announce the appointment of Clara Purnell as Director of Procurement, effective 26 May 2026.
Clara joins KFM from Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, where she led procurement, supply chain and contract management for a £600m turnover organisation, delivering major strategic, capital and transformation programmes and achieving significant, sustainable efficiencies.
With senior leadership experience across both public and private healthcare, Clara has also held a national role as Deputy Chief Officer at the Healthcare Supply Association (HCSA) and was the Senior Responsible Owner for the award-winning Women’s Network for NHS Procurement and Supply Chain.

Clara is passionate about procurement’s role in supporting best‑practice patient pathways and improving patient experience and safety. In her role, she will strengthen KFM’s procurement strategy and further enhance collaboration with King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, ensuring cost savings and benefits are reinvested to support world‑class patient care.
