KFM is pleased to announce the appointment of Clara Purnell as Director of Procurement, effective 26 May 2026. 
 
Clara joins KFM from Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, where she led procurement, supply chain and contract management for a £600m turnover organisation, delivering major strategic, capital and transformation programmes and achieving significant, sustainable efficiencies. 

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on 8 March and has been recognised for over 100 years, honouring the achievements of women around the world, and highlighting the ongoing struggle for women's rights, and the inequality that so many women face daily. 

During National Apprenticeship Week, KFM was proud to host our third annual celebratory event on Thursday 12 February, recognising the fantastic achievements of our apprentices across the organisation.

The Procure4Health Symposium: London will take place on 7 October 2025 at the Royal National Hotel, bringing together over 300 senior healthcare procurement leaders, suppliers, and stakeholders for a day of debate, collaboration, and innovation.

The KFM Endoscopy Decontamination service has achieved the ISO 13485 certification, which is the internationally recognised standard for quality management systems in the design and manufacture of medical devices.

KFM welcomes Sir David Behan, Chair of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Sir David met with colleagues across KFM, hearing first-hand how our teams are supporting world-class patient care through innovative, cost-effective healthcare support services. 

KFM has procured 820 new Medstrom Solo+ beds across King’s College Hospital sites, enhancing comfort and safety for both patients and staff.

KFM is pleased to announce that Neil Routledge and Jaymin Shah will be joining the Senior Leadership Team this month, strengthening KFM’s leadership and further enhancing its ability to deliver high-quality support services to King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the wider healthcare sector. 

We recently celebrated the completion of two internship placements by Leon and Aspen, who joined our Supply Chain team at the Princess Royal University Hospital earlier this year.

On 25 November 2024, KFM's Critical Care Technologists hosted the highly anticipated Critical Care Technologist Study Event, at the Fetal Medicine Research Institute, in London.

In our continued efforts to support Ukraine with humanitarian aid, KFM has once again partnered with White Eagle Appeal, to provide a number of crucial medical supplies, including walking aids and cardiac equipment.

KFM and King’s College Hospital, recently collaborated in a neonatal in-vitro study aimed at researching the effect of inflation pressure on end-tidal carbon dioxide levels in neonatal care.
