KFM supports King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in new 820-bed replacement programme

KFM has procured 820 new Medstrom Solo+ beds across King’s College Hospital sites, enhancing comfort and safety for both patients and staff.

The five-week replacement programme is being delivered in partnership with Medstrom, King’s and volunteers, with installations scheduled on weekends to minimise disruption to patient care.

The new beds include a range of features designed to enhance patient safety and improve the working conditions of clinical teams, such as reducing fall risks, improving patient mobility, and making handling safer and easier for staff.

This programme represents a significant investment in modern, high-quality hospital resources, supporting the Trust in continuing to deliver safe care, achieve better patient outcomes, and operate more efficiently.

The bed replacement programme has been a team effort, with fantastic support from Medstrom and King’s College Hospital staff and volunteers, all working together to deliver this ambitious programme.
